TPS Warm Edge Technology
TPS Warm Edge Technology refers to a new type of insulated glass spacer
designed to improve the thermal performance at the edges of sealed insulating
glass units. Warm edge refers to the type of spacer material used to separate
the panes of glass. If the material conducts less heat or cold than a
conventional spacer at the edge of the glass, it is called “warm-edge.”
Today, warm edge spacers improve thermal performance of windows, reduce
condensation, and with the right machinery, allow for faster and easier
assembly of IG units thus utilizing less labor.
ADCO offers the following sealants for Warm Edge Technology assembly:
Approximately 50% of the nearly 90 million sealed units sold today
in North America are assembled with warm edge technology.
