Polyurethane
GD-677NA is a two-part polyurethane designed to be used as a secondary
edge sealant for dual seal insulating glass units. It provides high stability
and elasticity and low water vapor permeability. This formula is mercury-free
for use in North America. Superior MVT rates are obtained by using ADCO PIB
primary sealants in conjunction with GD-677NA. GD-677HM is designed for use
with heat mirror IG units.
GD-677NA has good processing characteristics for both automatic and
manual sealing systems.

Advantages of using GD-677NA polyurethane-based sealant include:
- Low slump – less dripping and sagging in the corners and less waste.
- Very good adhesion to glass, aluminum and steel for lasting integrity.
- Good water vapor permeability.
- Good flow behavior onto butyl PIB without trapping air.
- High stability and elasticity.
GD-677NA made its debut in the United States in 2002. ADCO was
instrumental in developing a mercury-free polyurethane formula needed to
meet US regulations.
