Muntin Bar Attachment
In the past, windows could not be produced efficiently in large sizes; so to create larger
windows, smaller panes of glass were mounted in Muntin grids within the window sash. With
today’s technology, larger windows are no longer a problem to produce. However, the
divided-lite look is still a popular option for many residential customers. One
of the least expensive ways to create this simulated divided lite (SDL) look is to attach Muntin bars
into a grid pattern on the interior, exterior or both sides of the window. ADCO can show you
how to increase your productivity using our acrylic tape and our specially designed application
equipment. Exterior mounted grids enhance the performance of the window better than
grids that are placed between the glass as there is no possibility of contaminating the edge sealants.
True divided lite windows - those which actually use individual pieces
of glass - are very expensive to produce. Using ADCO Very High Bond Acrylic
Tape saves you both time and money!
