Liquid Laminate / Cast Resin
The UV-cure cast resin (liquid laminate) method of manufacturing laminated glass
is among the most progressive production procedures used in the glass industry.
Cast resin technology stands out in particular by virtue of the following
advantages:
- Investment and operating costs are lower than in other laminating methods.
- Cast resins are available to provide optimal sound absorption and enhanced
safety and security benefits.
- Cast resin brings greater flexibility to the range of possible applications
in particular with heavily ornamented and unusually shaped glass units.
ADCO offers three versions of UV-curing cast resins (liquid laminates):
ADCO also offers Very High Bond Acrylic Tape for use as spacer tape during the assembly of cast resin units.
Cast resins are all UV-cured which allows for greater flexibility
during production due to their “cure-on-command” characteristics.
