High Strength Hot Melt Back Bedding Sealants ADCOTHERM high strength hot melt back bedding sealants are 100% solids butyl elastomer based compositions that feature excellent adhesion to glass, wood, aluminum, vinyl and plastic sash components. They provide a moisture barrier between the IG unit and exterior unit glazing frame. Two versions are available from ADCO: ADCOTHERM 1000HS – for glass-to-frame applications ADCOTHERM Hot Melt Back Bedding – for both glass–to-frame and frame-to-door applications Both are soft, easily compressible materials that will not shrink, crack or become brittle over time. ADCOTHERM 1000HS offers a higher shear strength and longer compressibility, and is available in white or black. In addition, the quick adhesive strength of ADCOTHERM 1000HS allows for fast assembly and quick shipping which makes it ideal for JIT operations. ADCOTHERM Hot Melt Back Bedding is available in white or tan. ADCOTHERM hot melts are applied using conventional hot melt pumping equipment. Due to its higher viscosity ADCOTHERM Hot Melt Back Bedding is ideal for automated line applications.
