Back Bedding & Glazing Sealants
Back bedding and glazing sealants are designed to provide a moisture, dirt
and wind barrier between the IG unit or glass pane and the glazing frame of
a window or door. General features include 100% solids so there is no shrinkage
of the seal over time and compatibility with a variety of insulated glass
sealants so chemical fogging doesn’t occur. Additionally, back bedding compounds
have an elastic quality which after curing allows for the expansion and
contraction of the glass and frame without losing its seal. Glazing tape is
a back bedding compound that is available in rolls for application into window
frames. Glazing Tapes are applied thicker than pumpable products and are
